The Community Action Partnership (CAP) of Greater St. Joseph received $500,000 in CDBG funds to renovate an existing building to serve as a Head Start facility in Cameron, Missouri. The 11,000 square foot building will be four separate classrooms that will be used as a Head Start facility. The facility will serve children six weeks to five years old four days a week and will provide not only child care and education, but also health, nutrition, mental health, and social services to income qualifying families in Clinton and DeKalb counties. The photo shows the building prior to renovation. Check back in a few months to see our progress.
